Who we are
Webseer is made and run by Rotomic Ltd, in Dublin, Ireland. This page covers three things: this website (webseer.ie), Webseer's sign-in service (auth.webseer.ie), and the websites Rotomic builds and runs for its clients on Webseer. For anything about your data, email hello@rotomic.ie.
On this website
What you send us. When you book a demo we keep your email address, and your name, business and message if you give them. When you ask for news we keep your email address. We also keep the page you sent the form from, so we know what you were reading. We use these to answer you and, if you asked, to send you news. That is our reason under the law: you asked us to (consent), and we need them to answer you (legitimate interest).
How you use the site. We count visits without cookies and without knowing who you are. Each day the site makes a new random value; a visit is counted by mixing it with your network address and your browser's description into a code that cannot be turned back. The random value is deleted when the day ends, so nothing links one day's visits to the next. What we keep is counts: pages, days, languages, countries, kinds of device and the sites that sent visitors. Your network address itself is never stored.
Cookies. The public pages set no cookies. Signing in to the site's editor (the Studio) sets one cookie that keeps you signed in; it is needed for the Studio to work, so it does not ask for consent.
Signing in with Google, through auth.webseer.ie
Sites built on Webseer can offer "Sign in with Google" through Webseer's sign-in service, so each site does not need its own Google account. When you use it:
Google asks you to agree, then tells the service your Google account's identifier, your email address, whether Google has confirmed it, your name and your picture. Google handles your sign-in under its own privacy policy.
The service passes those details to the one site you are signing in to, and to no one else. It keeps none of them itself.
It keeps a log of each sign-in: which site, which provider (Google), your account's identifier at that provider, and when. The log is kept for one year to find and stop misuse, then deleted.
During a sign-in it sets one short-lived cookie to keep the steps of that sign-in together. It ends within ten minutes.
On the websites we run for clients
Each client site belongs to the client: the client decides what it collects (a contact form, an order) and why, and is responsible for it. Rotomic stores and processes that data for them, on their instructions, under a written agreement. Each site has its own privacy page. If you sent something through a client's site, ask that client first; we will help them answer you.
How long we keep it
Demo requests and messages: one year, then deleted.
News sign-ups: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
Visit counts: kept as counts only; the daily random value is deleted at the end of each day.
Sign-in log: one year.
Studio sign-in sessions: until you sign out or they expire.
Who else handles it
Cloudflare, which hosts this website, the sign-in service and our clients' sites, and stores their data. Cloudflare may process data outside the European Economic Area; when it does, it uses the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Google, only when you choose to sign in with Google.
Our email provider, when we reply to you or send news.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone to market to you.
Your rights
You can ask to see the data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to have it limited or sent to you, and to object to how we use it. You can unsubscribe from news at any time, from any email we send. We answer within a month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission in Ireland.
