Writing a services page that brings in enquiries
What to say on the page that does most of the selling.
For most small businesses, the services pages do more selling than the home page. Someone who lands on one has usually searched for exactly that service. Here is how to write one that turns them into an enquiry.
One service per page
A page about boiler servicing, another about installations, another about repairs. Each can answer its own questions and match its own searches.
Start with the answer
Say what the service is, who it is for and where you offer it, in the first two lines. People scan; give them the reason to stay at the top.
Answer the questions people ask
How long does it take? What does it involve? What do I need to do first? Roughly what affects the price? If people ask you on the phone, answer it on the page.
Show it
Real photos of the work, the before and after, the finished room. A picture of your own van does more than a stock photo of someone else's.
Make the next step obvious
End with one clear action: a quote form, a booking link, a phone number. Ask only for what you need to reply, and say what happens next.
Give it a proper title
The page title is what shows in search results. Name the service and the place: "Boiler servicing in Swords and north Dublin" says more than "Services".
